We still have one at home, two more yrs before he starts, but he goes to daycare a couple days a week.

I like the vacation part...especially since I am not working anymore

Mine are still out until August 29th. Which is fine, because even though we spent 5 hours and $300+ shopping yesterday...we still do not have shoes for the kids and I still need uniform shorts for the boy...oh, and drawing pads for art class and red pencils.

I am sure there is more...but I cannot remember!!

Sydney had her first day of Jr. High today and was SOOOO nervous. Heck, Randy was twice as nervous "for" her. She called me to ease some of her nerves.

Here's what I told her she had to come back and tell me tonight:

1. Who the cutest guy in her Home room class is (not nec. his name, but where he sat).

2. Who she thinks will be the meanest teacher.

3. Who she thinks will be the nicest teacher.

4. Where she wants to go to dinner.

She had an answer for #4 already but I told her that after a whole day of being Jr. High student she may be a whole different person and have a different taste request. She agreed and decided to withhold her final answer pending further maturity after the days events!

Twins start 1st grade too so all 3 will be in for the 'full day'. (although it still seems short compared to when I was in grade school).

It's a double edged sword. They have been driving the wife and I nuts, especially the wife. But at the same time it would be nice to have more time to do more summer vacation type stuff. I gotta say I'm not real thrilled with the shorter summers they get compared to when I was that age. And I know it's a shorter summer because they have shorter days and trainload of days off or half days that are unimaginable so to make up for it they start like 2 weeks earlier. ( :rumblegrumblerumbleroar: )
