Off Duty Sheriff Deputy Arrested For D.u.i By Her Husband
![]() I SMELL DIVORCE COMING ON![]() ![]() http://www.elkodaily.com/articles/20...ews/local3.txt ELKO — An Elko County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested — after being pulled over by her husband — Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. Charlotte Moore, 36 of Spring Creek was arrested at Sixth and Douglas streets at 11:41 p.m. She was released at 1:47 a.m. Sunday by order of the undersheriff. Moore, a jail deputy, is an 11-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, Undersheriff Rocky Gonzalez said. She was placed on paid administrative leave Saturday night. Moore was off duty driving her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am when she was initially pulled over by her husband, Elko County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Moore. Two separate accounts of the incident by Mike Moore indicate she was initially pulled over for either speeding or making an illegal turn, according to a police report. She allegedly left before being administered a portable breathalyzer test. Mike Moore pulled her over again and called the Elko Police Department for backup. He left shortly after officer Shane Daz arrived. Elko Police Department Sgt. Mark Butterfield was also on scene. Mike Moore was following procedure when he asked for backup, Gonzalez said. Neither Mike nor Charlotte Moore were available this morning for comment. Charlotte Moore allegedly blew a .114 in a portable breathalyzer test, according to a police report. She was reportedly drinking approximately two hours earlier at the Downtown Business Association’s wine walk. The sheriff’s office supports the police department’s actions, Gonzalez said. Although this traffic stop was different than most, officers treated the stop as they would any other time a deputy calls for backup, Police Chief Mike Smith said. |

Methinks he's got the wrong name. It should be dimwit instead of dillweed.

me thinks its intentional. he knew his wife is a boozer, knew she'd be at said party and decided to stop her and do a breathalizer. me thinks there is alot of personal stuff going on and the husband has the big badge and small cock complex

Muh....more power to him. There shouldn't be special treatment. Our local D.A.R.E. officer got a D.U.I. last year, as have numerous Minnesota politicians over the last few years.

Maybe he really intended for her to blow into his personal "breathalyzer" Then he called for backup before he realized he would have to use the department issue?

I heard about his on the radio this morning. He must be having major issues with his wife and her drinking for it to come to this. I'm sure he's warned her that if he ever caught her drinking he hook for for 10-55 (DUI).

I dated a girl who was married & divorced from an alcoholic cop... She told me the stories soooo many times about how he'd be driven home by a co-worker, drunk as hell... Never got charged.

Are you suggesting that him leaving her to the officers from the other agency after stopping her is the "special treatment?"
