We got a new au pair, a guy this time from Costa Rica - EXCELLENT soccer player and will be assistant coaching the league our son is in...but that's beside the point

We just got his SS# card in so we headed to Suntrust to open and account for him...Suntrust said he needed ADDITIONAL information besides a

1. Valid SS Card
2. Valid Passport
3. Valid J1 Visa from the Dept. of Homeland Security
4. Valid International Drivers License
(all of which are in his possession)

Fucking bullshit...we have been banking there for 10+ years NOW we leave there somewhat embarrassed because they think he is some sort of terrorist

head to Wachovia and in 15 minutes he has a checking and savings account....

for wasting my afternoon assholes...

discuss all you want..I'm headed to Brio's for some Italian yumminess as Nicole leaves in a few days and this will a farewell dinner for her

Suntrust gives me better service as a customer than any bank ever has. They don't play games with my account at all. They go well out of their way to make sure I'm happy.

They've had some serious identity theft/fraud problems in the past year. I would guess that's the reason they're giving your Costa Rican buddy a hard time. I think they're just trying to cover their asses.
