... I need your help making this argument. The wife wants a mini-van (which honestly as long as she's drivin it I dont care) for the kids. But she wants me to get rid of the XJ (2dr hard to get 2 small kids in and out of) and I drive the van FAWK DAT!! It may sound superficial, but I've made tons of sacrifices in for the best interest of my children, which all parents understand. But here's what I need. I'm trying to convince her to get a sedan sort of thing. I want a Charger but thats gonna be hard sell. Any ideas?

She drives a Jetta (that I hate POS). The XJ is 2wd & I still have the CJ no wheeler issue. We also have a F350 CrewCab, but at 8MPG it doesn't make for a good commuter. The new 4dr Jeeps are appealing but damn $$$!!!

I don't understand why you have to convince her or justify it.

There are plenty of other vehicles well within the range of reasonable compromise.

The problem is at first I didnt care but then when I got to thinkin about it I really dont want one. Now she wants to know whats the big deal?

You may not need to buy a fawking mini-van, but good God man, what the fawk are you thinking?

Buy a used Tracker/Sidekick (4-door). It won't cost much, and at 28 MPG is a comfortable ride. Yeah, and they even come in 4-wheel drive!

If the XJ is a 2 door, why not trade it in on a 4 door?

And sell the F350, if you're not using it. It's losing value by the week.

I'm actually contemplating getting a Mini-van for myself, the '94-98 Mazda MPV All sports look nice, come with selectable all-wheel drive, and front & rear locking diffs.
