New House
This what I have abided my time with for about the last year and a half. I have done most of the work myself with a lot of help except framing the uptairs, sheetrock, roofing, block and concrete work. We hope to move in the upstairs part of it in the next few months. Pics are in chronological order. Enjoy

Thanks. I need to get some more pictures with the exterior chinking done. I am almost done with the inside chinking then we are going to get it ready for final electrical inspection.

Looks real good. I'm not too fond of the chocolate brown walls, but I don't have to live with 'em.
Enjoy! |

What is the point of having that false roof line on the end of the house? I hate those. That said it's a beautiful house man, congrats.

symmetry of the main roof line. it helps keep the house looking like a traditional cape, but having the shed dormer off the back gives the second floor a lot more room. the false eave has no structural importance. just preference of the home owner. kinda like most shutters these days. |

What he said. Looking back, I kinda wish that I would have not had it put up there, but too late now. I need to remember the digi so that I can post more updated pics.
