New House

This what I have abided my time with for about the last year and a half. I have done most of the work myself with a lot of help except framing the uptairs, sheetrock, roofing, block and concrete work. We hope to move in the upstairs part of it in the next few months. Pics are in chronological order. Enjoy

Looks real good. I'm not too fond of the chocolate brown walls, but I don't have to live with 'em.

Enjoy!

Nice place. And I was over zealous about my new deck I'm building.

What is the point of having that false roof line on the end of the house? I hate those. That said it's a beautiful house man, congrats.

symmetry of the main roof line. it helps keep the house looking like a traditional cape, but having the shed dormer off the back gives the second floor a lot more room.
the false eave has no structural importance. just preference of the home owner. kinda like most shutters these days.

I have 1 acre but the inlaws have 6 that seperate us and I have free use of at anytime. That is where the wife keeps her horses.

What he said. Looking back, I kinda wish that I would have not had it put up there, but too late now. I need to remember the digi so that I can post more updated pics.
