Drive way Toe in alignment

This is how I do toe in and it's cheap and easy to do.

Take a string tie it to the back somewhere near the center line of your tires at the rear. Like a trailer hitch ball. mark the rear tire with a small mark to keep the horizontal line.

Pull it tight and bring it in to the front tire and as it just starts to touches the front tire measure it at the center of the rubber where it bulges out the most Mark this spot so you always measure from the same spot. mark it with an x so you get the same vertical and horizontal every time.

Adjust the gap between the string and center line of the tire to 1/16th of an inch. 1/16 plus 1/16th is 1/8th. If the front of the tire is moved in a 1/16 the rear has been moved out a 1/16th.

Pulling the string from the rear tires keeps your axles square. also I jack up and take the weight off the tire and set it back down to see if it changes.

This works for me.

thats great if your rear axle is the same exact wms-wms as your front. if they are different, then you'll have to employ slightly different tactics, but a similar method to align your front wheels. when i did it, i tied the string to jack stands so the pivot points were moveable since my rear wheels were narrower than front.
