A cuddly little bundle of joy came to visit me at work tonight.
Cute little guy. Probably about 14" long and downright calm, it barely squirmed when I tossed it into the snake bucket and dragged it out to the desert.
  Yes part of my job description is "snake wrangler" in addition to post traumatic stress counselor for traumatized scientist types who damn near step on these things.

Trust me I was tempted, he was too scrawny for that, I'll let him eat some of the mice around here for a while to fatten up first.

We have a designated snake tong and bucket with one way lid here at work for moving creepy crawlies.
And yes your regular old western diamondback.
