beligerantly drunkn "freinds"

how do you handle "freinds" that are so f-ing drunk and try to fight you?


setting:
the front yard at my "buddies" house last night.
he is completely tanked and has been since noon, like everyday.
i am completely sober

after he repetedly door dinged my truck, i moved it. he got stupid and i laughed at him, he tries to fight and i put him in the gutter with my knee in his chest, no punchs thrown just forcebly sat him down. he is now trying to swing but his arms are severly resticted and can only move one half of his right arm. his girl freind is trying to calm him down and gets to close, a punch ment for me hit her.[not that she is any more sober than he is]

he calms down and deals with her for the next hour, he is truely sorry he got her and is no longer posing a violent threat to anybody.

now he tries to drive away, i shanked his keys and pocketed them. he is now after me again and not posing any more of a threat than he was the first time but he is 6'2"@250 just like me, if i dont keep him focused on me he could wipe anybody else out.

get him back inside and calmed down again. 20 minute later hes back out side and has no idea that he hit his g/f or that he has already be defeated once.

after that i left and went to the bar with some more of the people i was hanging out with.

come back 2 hrs later and he is telling me how lucky i am that he spared my life and he was ready to bite my throat out, i just smiled at him.


so if i just flat out beat the hell out of him to 1 incopacitate and 2 teach him a lesson would i be in legal trouble because i am sober?

the guy is a repeat loser and consantly drunk, has no idea of how looks or behaves, could use a good ol ass whoopin. i dont fight for no reason, hell i dont even fight, but i will stop or take on some one who i being dangerous or starting a fight only to dissolve the situation not to injur or be agressive.

calling th ecops is always an option but not really some thing i want to do.

I don't think you'd be in much trouble if you beat his ass, assuming he was going for it. You might want to have a talk with him tomorrow though.

yeah thats kind of the plan, he lives with 2 other freinds that can behave them selfs so i would still be over there.

dont get me wrong, the guys is ok most of the time but i dont consider him a friend, i will drink his beer though.

Pretty much.
I've "restrained" them until they couldn't fight anymore. Just keep taking them down until they can't get up any more.
They think it is "kind of funny" the next day when you tell them about it.

If you get to the point where he wants to fight, drop him.
We get drunk and spar and wrestle.
If I get out of hand, I know I am going to get dropped, so does everyone else. Just a fact of life.

People like that have no buisness drinking. Video tape him him and show him what an ass he becomes. Offer to help him to sobriety. Kick him in the nuts till he can't reproduce if he can't get his shit together then throw him to the curb where he wants to live.


I had a friend like that. He was my best friend all through the end of the high school and several years after...Not my friend anymore. After almost getting us in several fights at bars I would not go to any public places to drink with him. I would go over when invited and have a few with him but it was always the same: Drink to get stupid drunk and then be an idiot. I just stopped going to his place for over a year.

Last time I saw him he started similar bullshit with me on his Birthday. His wife begged me to come to the B-Day party she was throwing for him. He was drunk when I got there at noon and greated me with beer for me in hand. It was the last bear I ever drank with him. He drank 2 and was starting on a third before I finished the first. By 3pm I was on my way home. I heard everybody else left not long after I did except his brother who stayed to keep his ass in line and I heard he beat the snot out of him a couple more times that afternoon.

Called me the next day to ask what happened and why his face was fawked up...again. Told him how he started in being a belligerent drunk and that is what had happend when he went after me. I told him he was a dumb drunk looser and was not doing any good for his family being that way. If He wanted help I'd be there for him as long as he never drank again and hung up on him.

At his party He lunged for me when I called him a dumb drunk after about an hour of him berating people including his wife. When that set in enough to piss him off so he told me "I'm going to kick your ass" and he knocked his wife on her ass when she tried to settle him down. I side stepped him and sent him down his driveway on his face twice without spilling my beer. His 6ft 5 older brother had enough of his bull shit when he got up to come after me for the third try and grabbed him and beat the shit out of him with the side of the house....yes you read that right he used the side of the house to bounce him off a bunch of times. Actually left bloody marks on the wall from the road rash when I face planted him on the driveway. LOL

Told his wife she needs to put and end to his drinking or leave him and if she needed my help I'd be there for her and their kids. Never answered a phone call from him again. All the messages he left started out..."hay want to come over for a beer?" Never returned them since he never started off with what I wanted to hear..."I need some help becoming sober" or something like that. She never called. He finally stopped calling after a couple years.

Hope his wife and kids are ok but I don't have time for that crap.

yeah, had a friend who wouldnt want to fight me but would start crap with everyone else and like try to set garbage cans on fire. tons of stupid stuff and he thought he was a comedic genious.

I quit alcohol 10 years ago.
However, I quit tequila 15 years ago.

It was the only alcohol I got violent on. I beat up a guy named Boxer Joe. He was a retired boxer who owned "Boxer Joe's Pit Beef in Ocean city Md.

He smacked me in my face, I said lets go outside, as he was going out the door I ran him out into a porch upright, he hit me once, I hit him about 20 times and threw him off the porch. He landed on a bush, and got his side punctured by a branch. He was a BIG man too.

That was the last straw, I realized I could of really hurt him or killed him, so I quit that evil juice.

I have a friend who used to get crazy like that and once tried to start a fight with me when I told him to settle down (he was getting crazy in a bar). He came at me, all 5'10 135lbs of him. I threw him up against the wall and held him there for a minute to let him realize his mistake and then we were all good. He didn't even remember it the next day.
