Got the mounting holes drilled and the skid mounted today, I added the lights under the bumper bar to hide the core support/body mounts, what do you guys think? Sorry that the pics came out sorta dark:

Bend tech Pro, If you want I could send you the file for the main hoop and grill bar.

Once I get the truck back up on the lift, I am mounting 2 generic tow hooks to the bottom of the front frame horns, which will also sandwich the lower boxing plate on my bumper. They will basically be on the very bottom of the bumper under the outermost edges of the skidplate

They look rather exposed, but if they're cheap wth. What brand of lights above them?

The upper ones are some old Cibie lights I have had in my garage for ~15 years, and the lower ones are some cheapies, that are expendable.

I will send you the bendtech file when I get back home, I am in DC right now. The control arms can be adjusted from stock to ~ 2" longer than stock total. I am using Ballistic joints at all 8 points. You can order them from Ballistic to fit the Dodge application with out modification. I am running them @ about 1 " longer right now, to center the wheel in the wheelwell with the stock Power Wagon springs. I am going to go with Thuren's new springs when they come out, and will readjust the arms then. The Fenders are 3" bulge I got them from DRC. They are glass works.

Just a warning about the front bumper file, I had to modify my bender's die pull strap to get the bends so close together at the corner of the grill, where it turns back by the headlight, and down for the grill.

Here are some recent pics, I got my Kings in and mounted, I still need to figure out where exactly to put the resis. I got most of the light wiring done as well, need to figure out where the switches are going etc.. The speedo is not working, does anyone know if the wiring is polarity sensitive? I had to change the connector for the VSS to the 3rd gen style, I figured it was just a magnetic pickup that pulsed, and not polarity sensitive. Or did Dodge change something else as far as the pickup/tone ring from 2nd to 3rd gen trucks? Anyway, here are the pics:

It is just one of the 3rd gen track bar adapter brackets from solid steel industries. I am also using a stock Power Wagon track bar as of right now.

Unfortunately I didn't have Bend-Tech, all I have is Budwieser, paper, pencil, and an eraser. A big eraser.
That is the abso-fuckin-lutely sickest bumper i have ever seen for a first gen. Please tell me you have pictures of it mounted up. Where did you get it, or did you make make it?

Is there a problem here? That is seriously the nicest bumper i have ever seen for a dodge. The only reason I ask if he made it is because the workmanship appears to be absolutely top notch. Better than 99 percent of the homebrew shit that is usually found. The super tight radius bends and the big'ol fat welds are more than most backyarders would attempt to tackle just for a bumper.

Although, I'm not real sure why i even bothered to humor your post. Really you should just MYOFB.

Maybe just maybe instead of Hijacking a thread, you should read the post that the picture is in in his signature line, there is a link to his build..

The "C" Channel in this pic still needs to be trimmed fluch with the bottom 2 x 2 box tube, this is actually where my rear shock is going to mount, and the chase cage rear bar is going to hit the top of the channel:

I intentionally made the bed frame wide to extend the rear fenders out to cover the rear tires. I was originally planning on cutting the front steps, tapering them into the cab, and glassing them back up, but after looking at it I think I may just cut out the very front of the step, and make a grill out of that ricer "Speedgrill" stuff, and leave it stepped. As I think I may need the cooling on the passenger side. I am thinking of routing the exhaust up right behind the cab, and over the frame rail and having the 2 tailpipes exit through the bedside under the step on the passenger side of the truck, kinda like the newer F150 fords, only through the body not under it. What do you guys think? yay r nay?

I'm thinking having the exhaust set up similar to this, only the true duals, with just a stainless flange on the bed side:

Finally my last hair brained idea for the day is to leave the trailer hitch as it is (Afterall one of the primary jobs for the truck will be towing a trailer to Baja, so I figure it would be smart to keep the factory hitch), and mounting my spare tireright on top of it facing back "Continental" style. If I mount the tire right above the hitch a 35" tire will only sit ~ 2" above the bed rails on the top, and I can set the tire forward so it rests against the factory rear crossmember, and the back of the tire will only be sitting ~ 2" out of the bedsides. If I NEED the bedspace to haul anything, I can throw the spare up on the roof rack.

Looks good....I like the idea of the vent and the exhaust exiting the side of the bed there. They used those things on Trucks (back when Stacy David hosted it) on a 1/2 ton red ram he built and it looked good. I would try to angle them back so that the exhaust aims more toward the back of the truck if you can, just to try to keep the fumes away from the cab as much as possible.

I'll make my own, I don't like the fact that the one pictured mounts the exhaust solid to the bed side, my pipes will just stick through the hole with a bexel mounted to the bedside. I was planning on mounting them on an angle as well

Sounds like a solid plan. Nice attention to detail. On the spare tire bit, mock it up a little and take a pic, as the description is a bit involved from our end, lol.

I like what you're doing.

Might make the bedsides removable in case you get in a tight spot.
