Need some sb rams horn plug wirees

I have searched and even looked through boxes plug wires at the parts store and can't find what I need.
since i put chevy rams horns exhaust manifolds on my sb 350 i want to use straight boot plug wires that fit a HEI distributor. I have been told the bb chevy might work ,,, need to know what early years went hei and what application, car , truck.. anyone know?

I'm not real familiar with big blocks.. what year application would you suggest?

thanks

What kind of parts store are you going to?
Try a mid 70's Vette, see what they look like and go from there.

Good idea but not HEI. Might also want to try 2 1/2 ton big blocks with the stainless headers/manifolds. Call a Chevy dealer and find a guy in parts that thinks outside the box.

Are you in/near SLC? If so try Henderson on 300w&1825s 801-486-2073 ask for Kevin and tell him what you want.

just buy a set of accel "cutsom fit" wires 20-30$. you can get straight or ninties, just cut to length. they will come with both hei and points ends.

i dont like straight boots, the have a tendency to pull the terminal end off the wire accel or stock.

I used the Accel wires that you make up the end for the distributor yourself. After your done, check them with an ohm meter to make sure you did it right.

I would build my own wires you get exatly the length and the ends that you need. I like the MSD wires. The initial investment is more expensive but once you buy the proper crimping tool the wire and ends are not really any more expensive than a good set of wires. My .02$

If you don't adamantly want the wires to go over the Rams Horn manifolds then, as mentioned above, a '75 vette had HEI with Rams horns. The wires have 90º boots and are routed down the back of the engine and up to the spark plugs. It's not as *cool* looking as over the top wire routing, but underneath routing easily prevents wires from making direct contact with the Rams Horns.

2nd MSD DIY wires... I think you can bend the straight boots to whatever angle you want. I don't like Accel stuff much because of spotty quality issues.

Get wires for a late 70's ford with electric ignition and a windsor block. I run them on my ram horns. They work great and have straight boots.
