starting new 45 registry

well, since rick d is not into this stuff as much as he was a few years ago, i more or less took the torch from him and will try to update and maintain a "45 registry". rick was kind enough to forward me the list he has, but i know a lot of 45s have come out of the woodwork and changed hands or come back to life since he stopped working on it.
that means that i need all you guys (whitey, medusa, pygpen, 65swb45, gifu, landpimp, rev. parsley, tony twiddy, taylors, boydo, cruiserbrett, irongodess, glenn 2, jeremiah, toploader, bkcruiser, deepsouthcruiser, fj45, fj45lv, portugie joe, ........and the list goes on and on) to e-mail , yes, E-MAIL, me your info including name, addy, phone # vehicle prod date and vin #.
we'll see where it goes from there.
also, anybody know of any good software i might be able to use for that sorta thing?

Excel should be a good program, see what Woody uses for the Land Cruiser Assistance Club.

I'll get my 45 info together later this week and e-mail you.

Cool, I am glad someone took this over....Rick is no fun anymore, now that he is driving the "modern" cool stuff

I'll get ya the info on my 2, and there are a few more around here.

I got a weird VIN plate on the new 45, it has a 65 brass tag, the VIN starts with 4(for 64) but 1965 is stamped right on the VIN plate from Toyota. To me it looks like a 64, has the fender mirror and no rear emblems........

I'll get mine one of these days. The shop is way too far for me to hobble without a beer being danglesd at the door!

I'll get it soon though! I am interested in seeing the list. Someone should also put together a list of vendors and or people who have parts they are interested in selling for the wagons. Rick used to be into this but it seems to just anger him nowadays judging by his posts. But he is still "The God of Wagons" to me.....

Just like my 45LV. Paul Decker told me that was a Cali (and maybe some other places/dealers) thing...made in one year, sold and tagged the next year, and the brass tag is the year it was sold and registered...

I'll send along the info for my LV, and LWB P/u at some point

VIN plate on my mustard/white fj45LV

here the frame # has fj45 in it. It looks like a 4/64 as well but a bit latter make then the tan/white 45. also it says fj45L not LV

VIn plate on my tan/white fj45LV

look at the frame # its 4fj40, so thats a 64 but why fj40? as you can see the model type is correct, fj45LV. from the frame # it apears to be 4/64, and 1 # ahead of David Barbers in VA.

both have 65 brass tags, meaning sold/titled in 65

mines titled a 65 with the 65 button, but I can't tell the mfg date. Seems to me it should be a 65 W/O the button.

BTW, the #'s photo shoped out are 22923, if that helps.

Unfortunately the PO painted over the Vin plate on my 67, but it is also on the fender, not the firewall. Any tricks for restoring them? Georg, I will email my pickup vin #, but do you want the numbers of the FJ45 frame I got from you guys up there, since someday it WILL drive again?

OK so thats wierd, Tim's 45 is marked 1964, my tan/white is marked 65, but Tim's frame # is newer than mine and so is the engine. So I guess they had a pile of frames....and just grabed whichever was handy. thats whats fun about early Cruiser.......stuff is just kinda mix and match, use up stuff till its gone.

still every plate is different.

I want a set of Gifu mud flaps
