What to do when you don't have garage/shop
Well, when your fiance gets sick of seeing the tools in the house...and you can't seem to find that perfect new house with plenty of garage space....you have to get a little creative.
I have to credit my fiance for this. 6x8 utility trailer. Not quite a shop....but, better than nothing. Not the best in terms of headroom, but if you put the frequently used stuff towards the entrance, then it works OK. Theft proofing isn't a real issue in my neck of the woods.

Going to be a bit tricky to move around in there once you get the Drill Press and Lathe.

Only a little smaller than my first "shop".. all work was done in the driveway (even at -20 and snowing) but at least the tools and equipment were inside.
I keep thinking my next tow-rig will be just under CDL and my next trailer will be a 30+' van trailer.. (reefer, if you want A/C).. put a partial shop up front, some fold-down bunks, and drive the rig in from the back. Portable shop, enclosed trailer, and sleeping quarters.. and mebbe air conditioned.

The snow is more comfortable than stones in my driveway. However, losing the dexterity in my fingers from the cold offsets that little comfort.

That works, as long as you have *something* to work OUT OF you're leaps & bounds ahead.

Listen to this.....the trailer was free
Belonged to my fiance's boss. They no longer had a use for it. We were going to offer them like $800 for it, cause we know they never used it. He wouldn't take any money for it. He just asked that we kept the logo on the side as free advertising.

sweet deal on the trailer. My dad got this instant garage for $300 or so new from www.cover-it.com for his build up
It works out great and with a little place heater in there it stays warm enough in the winter too |
