BFG had a couple of sets out on UA - 05, so I know they exist (if I can see them and touch them, they are real?). Don't know when they will be available for sale. I believe 39x13.50R17 is the correct size. Gary Enterline said they won't be cheap by design, as they will be low production, but they will be avaialble to the public just like the 37"s and 35"s are.

I live up the street from Fred Perrys Shop " Clemson 4 Wheel Center" He has a set of them also... A guy at Dixirun told me that he had heard form BFG that they will be avaliable soon... So I asked my friend that is a BFG dealers that gets the Red labes for some of the comp guys in the area... He called up his supplier and they told him 6 to 7 weeks.
I sure as hell hope so...

BFG has built a hell of a reputation with their red lable krawlers, now they are releasing the tire to the public in a different compound than the one that built that rep and charging like it was the same one. Figure its like Chevy selling you a corvette with a 6 cylinder in it. Looks the same, costs alot, but dont go like the corvette you hear about all the time. At almost twice the price as the Irok, it better perform twice as well. Paying twice the price just so you can say "I'm running the same tires as the comp guys" is just fawking stupid.

well, if they can compete in with the toyos and nittos on a 39" tire that is more streetable than a swamper, they may be worth the price. if you want to compare to swampers, buy swampers, but i know that i wouldnt want to drive on swampers every day, i did, i bought a street bike.
if these are bias ply, they probably arent worth the $$$, but they will probably still sell

I do , a few of them actuly... 2 of them ran in the UA... so maby the 2 that run the UA are biased tward BFG but still... I have seen a 35 and a 37 blue lable in action and they are a very good tire. I would LOVE to run a set of reds if I didnt enjoy actuly driving my rig on the street from time to time. Im pretty sure the krawlers are radials

They may be a good tire, but good enough to justify $2000 for a set of 4? Sorry, that just does not compute. That price is ok if your a competitor with a purse on the line and you need every available edge to get you in the winners circle, but these tires aint it, that spot is reserved for the reds. If they want these tires to compare to the BFG/MT's as far as streetability and off road performance, maybe even a little better, then price them as such.
They'll probably sell a ton of em tho, and make a shitload of money on it, more power to em. Its all in marketing, just like interco selling more boggers to mall crawlers than mud boggers.

I agree about the price, but the blue lable krawler is still a good off road tire and its priced close to if not better than other tires its same size, Hell 40" pro comps are listed as being $700 a tire, and im sure nitto's and toyo's fall not too far behind. I know a guy who has the 39" red lables and after about 300 yards of street driving from a cabin to the trail, they already started chunking. So for someone who has to do some street driving, the blue labels may work for them. But im with you on the price, thats why i got my 42" Iroks for $1200...........

I've had blue label 35's , blue label 37's and the 39.5 irox's. Now I just bought some red label 39.5 krawlers--I got a great deal on the krawlers because they had been mounted and were down to about 97%
But I'd rather pay $2000 for tires that work, then buy crap like Irox's ever again. I think that even if they say 400-450 per tire, that doesn't mean that that is what you'll have to pay to get a set. Come Awn who actually pays retail??? When I got my 37" krawlers, 4wpw was asking 429 per tire. But I found a set of 4 brand new never mounted for $900 and they were hands down the best tires I've ever had. You just have to shop around or watch for deals here on Pirate I think that the release of Blue label 39.5 krawlers is the best news in tires, for us non comp guys, in a long time |

i have to agree. true, the krawlers here in eastern wash/ idaho were kind of shitty for me (blue label 35s), but on dry rocks they rule. they are a great comp tire. i would LOVE to get a set of 39.5s, even though they be blue labels. true, i will contiune to buy iroks because i am cheap and they work better for the crappy weather we have here, but i think it is a great move on BF's part to make the 39 available to everyone.

I agree that the 39 Red works awesome but the way the wear is freaking terrible.. I'm the guy that drove 300 yards from the cabin to the trail Pumpkin was talking about and the chunks are mind boggling.... I ran the 37 Blues before these and must say that was the best tire I had ever ran....until these. But atleast I could drive them on the street if need be. The only thing about the 39's is keeping the inner bead on...

I'll throw in another tire for you guys. 39" Pit Bull Rocker, If you can handle the 16.5" width, these things work almost as good as 'Reds'. They kick Krawlers ass in mud and sand. The best part is sug. retail price is from 277- 281 each. They're bias but seem to wear pretty good, better than any other bias tire. I know they've been hard to get but now most sizes are in stock.

I love my red label Krawlers. Work better than anything I have had on a rig to dtae. They stick to everything even when wet. If the blue labels are even close to being as sticky they will still be a better tire than my old swampers.
