TOYOTA brake upgrade (disc & 1 ton master conv.)
$145 shipped within continental US.
**EDIT: the R&D was done for Toyota Mini trucks, but the booster adapter should work on FJ's and other that have the same mounting pattern. I am not sure about the disc brackets on an FJ though. These are parts you need to do your very own Toyota brake upgrade. We supply the brackets and THAT'S IT! This is a no-nonsense kit that allows you to use parts you either have around the shop or can find for cheap elseware. It saves you money for us not to ship heavy brake parts. Our kit is designed to use stock front calipers from your toyota. The calipers will bolt mate up directly onto the factory hard-line. You will use toyota rotors and they can either be ground down aproximatly 1/16" or machined in order for the axle to rest flush against the rotor. You will need to purchase longer studs also. The master cylinder adapter plate is for a chevy 1-ton master cylinder. Benefits of our kit versus the ones that use chevy calipers: * 4 piston calipers VS the 1 piston that the chevies have * solid mount VS the floating mount style that the chevies have * uses toyota parts * no custom brake lines needed - mounts right up to factory * caliper bracket uses stock bolts to flange * master cylinder used is much cheaper and works better than the FJ80 upgrade others offer This combo results in strong, predictable braking. Here are some pictures of them installed on TECHTAFAB's rig: disc brackets: ![]() 1-ton master adapter

i wanted to build this myself but i tried to use 88 4x4 ifs rotors. they bolt to the, hub? well anyway they are not the same as a chevy rotor and dont carry the studs. so they wont just slide on due to the different bolt pattern (rotor is 6 bolt but is smaller bolt circle).
i would like see more pics if im wrong correct me but this is what i remember seeing

This weekend we're doin an install on a friend's truck and I will have a full writeup. I've never done this with IFS rotors but have been told by customers that it will work. If you are talking about the bolt pattern for the hub/wheel that won't match up, then I am confused as to why that is. They should mate up perfectly since the wheels for all 6-lug toyotas all mate up regardless whether they are IFS or not. I will keep you posted in this thread with a link to the install. Thanks for bringing up the question. But like it has been said before, these were designed for use with the solid axle rotors and calipers-anything else you wanna try them on is fine, but I'm not going to guarantee that they work as we have not first hand tried to install them with these parts.

I will be doing a writeup on this since my inbox has been flooded with detailed questions about the install. I took pics last Sunday and will have time to sit down and do an in-depth writeup this weekend. Thanks for all the inquirys!

Honestly I can't answer that question. I've got a friend with a Taco and may be able to link up with him late next week. I'll PM you when I find out a definite answer for you!
