Question Where are you guys sourcing your braided brake lines?

There used to be a vendor on here selling custom brake lines, with any length/connection needed.

I have searched at length in the vendors section, and cannot locate the thread he (Keithflux?) posted in.

I need to order my lines soon, so I can get the brakes plumbed in on my project.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I got mine from Techna-Fit, told them what I wanted for my 4 Runner, 30" long SS line with poly sheath, from hard line junction directly to front caliper. Less than a week later I had them and was a great price.

If it's a trail rig you should just make your own with re-usable -3an fittings and teflon lined SS braded. In 7 years I've never had one fail.

stockcarproducts is were I source all my brake stuff.

Buy some bulk hose, buy some ends and make them yourself. They have any kind of fitting you'd need, straight, 45, 90, even have the caliper fittings. I too have never had a line fail.

Take your old lines to your local hydraulic place and have them build them for you in whatever lenght you want.

X2 on the reusable fittings and the teflon core covered with braided stainless. you can make your own in an hour or 2 and they look good too.

Tried this when I was short on time. It was a no go. They told me the hydraulic hose was not compatible with brake fluid. Even though it’s a hydraulic system, the fluid makes it a different animal. FWIW that’s what they told me.

X3, great prices doing that. You pay out the nose ordering from race shops.

A lot of hydraulic shops are set up to make DOT spec brake lines.

Makes sense; that’s what I was thinking when I went in there. They must not be.

Before I found the Pirate vendors, I had good luck with Baker Precision for bulk hose and fittings.
