No they would just cut it short by 2 courses there. I say if its scheduled for six you run six.

We had planned to have an eight hour show....we ended at 5:40 that's 20 minutes shy of eight hours. We were looking at going after dark possibly if we'd ran everyone two more times. Also the rented cops we had were going home at 8:00. From what Nathan said this year he went from a two day event to a one day event.......maybe y'all weren't going fast enough

That is not the reason we cut it short. We were prepping to run the last two courses when your neibor cut it short due to property conflicts. But the good news is, we got the problem solved quickly short term, and the issue will be completely fixed in time for the events next year.

I do appologize to all the teams this incident affected and to all the fans who paid in the last hour. Noone, was happy with the call, including myself...but it had to be made!

One a side note, we are speeding up the courses for 2010 and we will start the fastest courses first. No more crack...crack kills!

The way I see it is we could have ran till 8:00 and been fine. Thats 3 hours to finish 2 courses with as many of the rigs that were laid up and broke it would have been done by 6:30 at the latest just running the last 2 one lap apiece.

This sport is not about just getting in and running as fast as possible. There is strategy and when we are told that there is going to be six courses we put that into our plan of attack. We have never had an event called for rain or anything else and now we cut it short with 3 hours of daylight left. This type of racing is about endurance and keeping your rig in one piece to be able to finish ALL courses we still had 2 more to run and were the only ones left together in our class that would have been able to run.

Like I said schedule six we should run six not my problem if your help is tired, landowner issues, police force wants to go home, or anything else. Sorry if it cuts into your profits and you have to pay them more but that is what was announced at drivers meeting and in the rules. If your not going to follow the rules then the 2:00 minutes Buddy and I both got should be thrown out also. Rules are rules and if I have to abide by them so should the governing body, Landowners, racers, and promoters.

I know this problem was not Nathan the promoter it was a landowner issue and that what makes me upset. I drove 12 hours one way to have my runs cut short and not be able to promote my sponsors to the extent that we gave our word on. We work our butts off to get our sponsors and my word is my bond now I have to explain to them why the was only 4 courses instead of six.

I am done with my rant and will se you guys at SMORR for the next MOROC.

Oh dont get me started on the banners, Im still trying to figure out what judge to believe
1 judge did not see it, he was the close judge.
2nd judge who told me he called it inn, said it could have come untied
3rd judge, well I never talked to him. kind of like work keep asking until you find the answer you like.
Wait, I said dont get me started!

the pennants do not come untied on their own! I didn't see the incident, but the rule is, if you hit the pennants your ok, if you break the pennants it's a 2 minute penalty per... This is a new rule for 2009, but it's been posted for 5 months or better.

The rule sounds familiar...where else have I seen it?

The Judge you hired told me that the Banner in question had been broken from an earlier race and had two places it had been tied together. In addition, that one knot could have come untied. I saw it had two knots not three.
I ask you to rule on what your judge had told me about being unsure. You said you would check it out. That is the last I heard.

That is how your banners come untied
I am not questioning the rule it is the ruling
