Hot Tubs---Who's got one?

Wifey got offered a free one, going to look at it today. Don't know the make or model, I do know that it holds 7 people and needs 220v, and has a 'new last year' cover. Do you use yours that much? I mean is it worth the price of keeping 2 or 300 gallons of water hot all the time? Are the chemicals similar to that of a swimming pool? I'm really dreding loading the big bastard.

We used ours in the winter when it was cold outside.
Women love to get naked and frolic when a hot tub is around.

I have a Sundance Optima I use very little. In the beginning used it alot for therapy on my back. Since then I have basically retired. Dealer told me to plan on about $1.50-$2.00 a day for energy to keep it ready to use-not including chemicals. Even then it is cheap to use and maintain. Occasionly a pump motor or such may go out-then the fun begins finding one and replacing it. My spa is almost 10 years old now and have replaced 2 pump motors-one for the filter and one for the circulation. Would do it all over again if I had to make a decision to buy a spa.

I figured you for a litre of Grey Goose/neekid in the hot tub type.
It's probably too hot for a hot tub down there on the SE FL coast.
They get fun when it gets cold. I wouldn't want to be in the hot tub if it was 95 degrees outside.

The 2 best days of owning a hot tub. The day you get it and the day you get rid of it. They are alot more fun when you buddy has it. High maintenace pain in the ass.

We have one...

Easy to maintain... not too bad on the electric bill...

I usually hop in it 3 or 4 times a week... but the heater element went just before we moved. I need to find repair parts soon, I miss my tub

I got tired of fawking with it, Tore mine down and sold it. Too much of a pain in the arss.

Maintenance?

You keep the chemicals balanced (about 60 seconds of work) and have a few tennis balls floating around to keep the tub clean.

You figured right, but without the goose in me, the SPA fragrance and the changing light ... i wasn't having it

Free is a great price. Sometimes, though, you just end up inheriting someone else's problem and wind up doing nothing more than frustrating yourself. To me this is one of those purchases that should be made new, but then again I never had anyone waving a free tub in my face.

Either way hot tubs bring the happy. After all how can you put a price on bangin' your neighbors wife?

Here's mine a few months ago, and as you can see SF theres a bottle of grey goose by the boom box

I turned mine down to 75 degrees in summer

They're disgusting on many levels. You're either bathing with other peoples' bacterium floating amongst heated water which opens up your pores and allows free transfer of said goo... and/or you're bathing in chemicals in which toxins are allowed the same eventual entry into your endocrine system.

Good times.

Better just to stay dry, get drunk, and farm for gonads.
