Rhino 660 broken shifter

I have a 660 Rhino, well to be honest it is my wifes, and it won't shift anymore. It was tough to shift and I did not know to check the idle after installing the CDI box which explains the difficulty shifting. So last time I had it out I got a bit frustrated and I think I broke something. The lever moves but it will not shift out of Forward(high).

I won't be able to tear into it until next week but was looking to see if anyone had any idea what I may have broken. I found a service manual online, but it didn't help much.

So any ideas what might have broken, should I worry? If I did break something does anyone make an upgrade to the linkage or weak points?

Thanks. Hope to get this fixed, the wife will be PISSED if it's not running for our Thanksgiving JV trip.

Mine did the same thing. The bolt that holds the linkage together is loose. Took 5min and its on the passanger side. Easy fix.

SWEET. That will be good to find. I got WAY too many other things to worry about. This thing has been really reliable, I was hoping that trend did not change.

Yep, Rhinos are notorious for getting loose linkages. Super easy fix.

I agree on the loose bolts on the shifter and while you have the engine cover off its easy to adjust the idle on the side of the carb there is a big adjuster nut on top of where the throttle cable goes in ... keeping the idle low it make shifting alot easier ... also when the motor is cold and you have the choke out it causes high idle and that again makes shifting gears hard .. so I always try to turn the choke off befor shifting ...

Yup it was a loose bolt. Tightened it up for the trip to JV next week. I am going to do some service on it after that trip and look into putting safety wire on the bolt.
