Ice racing in Chicago area?

Has anyone heard anything about the ice racing that is suppose to be going on in Cedar Lake, Indiana (Chicago area) this winter? I guess it is going to be ATV's, bikes and maybe SXS's.

It's supposed to be going on this weekend last time I checked. It's on the south side of the lake, and I believe you sign up at the South Shore Golf Course. I'll be over that way tomorrow, so I can get more information if you want (AMA sanctioned(?), spectator price(?), etc...).

Yep, I'm a member of Purdue Off-Road Club and we've had a couple of guys race in the TREC series. I wheel a Samurai with 37s and Toyota axles.

I saw the races there 30 years ago, they used to be over by gornicks marina which is now the Lighthouse resturant. I think Ill stop by and check them out on Sat. Zuk I still have those 35 inch MTR's in the lockup.

The races will be Sunday, but they might be out there practicing on Saturday. There were a few guys out there today while I was driving over to my brother's house.

They'll be out on the south end of the lake at South Shore Country Club (just south of the Lighthouse Restaruant).

Chi, if you're out this way just give me a call. I'll be in town until Sunday, and then I have to go back to work near Cincinnati.

The badlands is planning on holding a number of events this summer that you might be enterested in. Both rock crawling and higher speed TREC events.

Stay tuned to PBB for more info and be sure to tell everyone in your club.

Went to the ice race today and it was to cold for me. Lots of people out there though. I number of guys were really flyin too.
