No, but I've thought a lot about building one that way.
I'm thinking of building high clearance "arched" style aluminum housed solid axles using UTV IFS components for extra clearance with coil-over/link suspensions at both ends and use an Outlander/Renegade 800 power plant and keep it as close to standard Rzr sized as possible. I have an 800 Outty and love the power, .

Well I still think in time the mfg'ers will put some sort of straight axle back in the utv market. Seems though (as capable as it is) the rzr is the only one out that will do west coast sand and rocks and east side mud and slick rock but not as good on rocks as it is in the dunes. Look at the competing rigs in rock competitions around the country.... very few are using ifs. Also look at Utv KOH race. all ifs but alot of major breakage too. people on my side of the country are asking for bigger and bigger tires with more and more power. hell the first thing people did with the xp 900 is start supercharging and turboing these things right out of the box. you can't even begin to compete in sand without one anymore. So I still think in time we will see a link suspension on solid axles from the factory. only time will tell. untill then what would you use, dana 20, 30-or 44. maybe a ford 8" or 9" cut down. maybe a late model jeep axles? sure would make gearing down for bigger tires alot less expensive and easier to do. wouldn't have to spend so much money on clutches and engine mods. I say run with it.

A friend and I have talked about solid axles in his prowler and he mentioned samurai axles since he could get them easy enough and keep it narrow. An idea that I had although it would depend on the use as far as the gearing is to run a set of small 4wd tractor like kubota front axles on both ends, they have the diff centered like a sxs and would give you lots of ground clearance and plenty low gearing. I dont think the strength would be an issue although finding them could be.

I like this idea especially since Longfield builds a hell of a setup for Yota's. suck about 150-200 hp out of a new 900 or swap for a KMV4 V4 and you would definately have enough to eat up a set of 33's

No actually i would use suzuki samuria or geo tracker axles. they are light weight, about the right size, probably strong enough for the abuse it will see and they come stock with 5.13 gears and some of the rears come with a posi |

im in the process of building a sxs with solid yota axles, its goin to be fully custom with a yamaha 920cc v-twin, cantilever suspension, ranger xp t-case, ive narrowed the yota axles 6" total. im about to start building the links for the axles and then position the engine. im hoping to run 33's, chassis is 56" wide and 108" long.

cut the knuckles off, cut the front axle long tube 6" and the rear axle tube 2" on each side and welded the knuckles back on, its a little diffifult with the front axle cause it had a truss from the pumpkin almost all the way out to the knuckle on the long side, sent the new lengths off to get new chromoly axles made for it. the front axle housing is almost the same length on each side now but that worked out perfect for the drive shaft running between the seats and lining up right. ill post pics when i get home tonight
