New to the area
I'm a military guy that is stationed in England right now. I'll be coming back and moving to the Hickory, NC area in December. I currently have a 03 TJ on 33's, a 69 Bronco on 35's and a first gen 4Runner that I just picked up some 60's and 39s for (that will get built when I get back). I was wondering if anyone here is from the Hickory area? I have quite a bit of fab experience but obviously would like to wheel with some good people when I get back. I used to wheel in Fl and south Alabama and am loking forward to some good runs up there.

Jim, you will be less than an hour from Uwharrie. It's no Tellico, but it's a fun place none-the-less.

Uwharrie is a bit further than "less than an hour" from Hickory. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes from Charlotte, so add another 30 minutes. I'm not trying to take away from pirate, but nc4x4.com will give you lots of locals to chat with. FWIW, there's a ton of Hickory people that wheel.
