Does anyone have any specific insight on the green sticker program. One of the guys at the Open House told me about the program and I think it's awesome. I really think that if we plan to manage our trails we need this.

For the ones who don't know, it's a program in which you pay some amount... we'll say $30 a year and you receive a green sticker to put on your rig. All the money raised goes directly towards OHVs in your state. The state cannot use it for anything else but OHVs. He also said sometimes you can get it tied with another program like the gas tax and you can double the amount.

I really think it's worth looking at. Anyone have experience getting this started?

I suggested something similar in my letter to the Forest Service. Which states have this already?

Californias Green sticker money comes from a gas tax. Everyone pays in to it. I guess that is where the green orgs influence comes in to play.

Oregon has an OHV sticker program, much like a fishing liscence. Easy to get but you need one to wheel on State Land.
