Grassroots Tellico Task Force: need volunteers - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

We are organizing a "grassroots" Tellico Task force thru Pirate4x4.com for the upcoming NEPA process and public comment periods in Tellico. It will be simular to what was done for Eldorado National Forest (Home to the Rubicon), but this time there will be a formalized plan and method in place using Del Albright's RICS system for land-use.

While the next public comment period is still a ways out, Nick and I need volunteers to take the lead on several things we have in the works or on stuff we are planning to do.

One thing everyone MUST understand: In the NEPA process (which is what Tellico is now going thru) PUBLIC COMMENTS mean just as much as comments from organizations. The goal of this task force is to get as many people as possible educated on the NEPA process and submit as many substanial comments as possible during the DEIS period.

Let Southern, Unitied and BRC fight in the courts, we plan on fighting this on the ground. We NEED indiviaul people to submit as many comments as possible on Tellico.

PUBLIC COMMENTS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE!

If you are interested in helping out with the grass-roots effort, please e-mail me at kurt@kurtuleas.com

You will be given a particuar project so you will not just be spinning your wheels. The amount of time you will need to invest will be less than you would think...

By the end of next week, I will e-mail you the plan that we have and set up an e-mail chain for the task force.
