IMPORTANT! Another way to write comment letters

I pulled this otta the thread in chit chat to put it here in it's own post.

I took a "training" on how to pick apart an EIS (kinda simular to an EA) The idea is to pick apart the entire document and MAKE THE FS CHANGE IT!

Remember that they FS must read and respond to every single substantive comment. (Bitch letters and form letters are read, but place to the side)

Find holes in the document, challenge thier sources (they do not think you will), make them change wording in the EA, have them take shit out that should not be in the document, ask them where they got thier info and tell them they need to cite thier sources...

Basically, give those fawkers a massive headache and make them re-write the fawker to how WE want the document.

Directions:

Pick a page, any page.

When the forest service states a so-called "fact" call them out on it. Ask them where they got that info and ask for their citation.

If you see something that has NOTHING to do with this issue, TELL THEM TO DELETE IT.

If you see something that is a stretch, or seems like they guestimated on something. TELL THEM TO DELETE IT.

Tell them to add stuff in that you want added.

Tell them to change wording in the document if something is worded wrong.

Argue as many points as possible!

Don't put all your argunments in to ONE letter. Do a seperate letter for each arguement.


Don't ask them to do it: TELL THEM TO DO IT! DEMAND!!!

Everytime they read a letter demanding changes in the EA, they have to address that change and change it, or delete it.

MAKE THESE FAWKERS WORK FOR THIS EA!

WE have a say on the EA.
