The Rocky top Trail Riders of Middle Tennessee will be having an emergency meeting Monday, March 16, 2009. The time is set for 6:30 PM at Trailworks Off Road Equipment.(1380 Ste B East Broadway Gallatin TN 37066) The focus of this meeting is to draft letters to the Forest Service concerning the Eniviromental Assesment in Tellico. The meeting is open to everyone, not just club members. We will be going over quite a few points of interest that the Forest Service needs to be made aware of as well as providing assistance for those who need it. Trailworks will be providing paper, pen, & postage .

There is NO reason other clubs & businesses can't do the same thing !!! Hint, Hint

So far this morning we have about 25 or so folks committed to showing up, hopefully we'll have quite a few more by the end of the day. Hopefully a few other clubs will follow this lead. I'll be keeping this updated as we roll along.

Ha Brent, I have made about 15 copies of differant things to bring. Differant style letters. I have also printed off copies of info and tips that people have posted here. Can you think of anything else that I can bring from here?

I think I can classify this as a success (albeit a small one in the scope of things) We had about 25 folks show up, (some driving around 100 miles round trip) We ended up with 30 hand written letters which I will be dropping in the mail 1st thing in the morning.I know this doesn't sound like a substantial number, but considering RTTR membership is less than 20 , I'm quite proud of these guys. I figure if every club in SFWDA does the same (or better) that's quite a few letters to help the cause.

Fantastic job guys!!!! Thanks for taking the time and the effort to sit down and show your support for Tellico. It's folks like you that the FS is going to listen to...so thank you for being a role model for the rest of us!
