I am sure by now that your office is aware of the grave injustice done to your NC constituents by the Forest Service’s closure of the Upper Tellico OHV trails! Trails, we the people, have worked on in conjunction with the Forest Service and ridden on for over 20 years.

According to a Forest Service release of 8-3-09, http://www.cs.unca.edu/nfsnc/press/u...a_projects.pdf, approximately $15 million of TARP funds went to National Forests in North Carolina. Not one penny of this money was designated for maintenance or rehabilitation to reopen the Tellico OHV trails!

One tenth of that amount would have been sufficient to correct all the damage caused by the Forest Service’s lack of proper maintenance management over the last eight years and to enable public lands to be used for motorized recreation , a use the Forest Service agrees is a viable and proper use of these lands!

I am incensed that after I have put 15 years of time, sweat and financial equity into helping maintain the trails at Tellico, working with the Forest Service all the time, that my elected representatives would let the Forest Service close these trails to my use and then designate $15 million to other projects with not one penny to correct the problems in one of the premier OHV destination in the eastern United States!

This is truly sickening, but its right in line with the rest of the bullshit behavior by our government that I am witnessing every day. Candace Wyman and the others in leadership positions of the USFS have lost all personal integrity and ethics. They are not doing what is best for the people or the forest or the fish. These people seem to have lost the ability to think logically or to understand reality, and they are selling their souls to something very evil.
