Nope I got my SONY EXPLODE ripped off in Colfax Cali. They tired to jimmy my lock and when that failed they proceeded to smash the wing window. It looked like it took several minutes... and all for a SONY EXPLODE. sickos

As told in the "Stolen Scout Phoenix" thread, Jay's Scout was stolen from his house, damaged while he was pursuing them, and then found abandoned in a wash a few miles from his house. No further damage and only thing apparently missing was fire extinguisher.

RECOVERED!!! On March 3rd we had 3 wheels and a highlift jack stolen off of our rig. We did the whole police thing, dusting for prints, etc. A few days go by and we heard nothing ( like we really expected to hear anything. ) Anyhow, today we got home and there was a note on our door that said Please call me and a #. Well I called and this girl told me she had bought the wheels a few days ago for $100 a piece in front of a gas station. The jackass that sold them to her said he had to head out of town and needed some money. He would bring the 4th by her house the next day. Well a few days went by and he never showed. So anyways, she went to the grocery store and was talking to a friend about the whole situation. A man overheard their conversation and said he drove by our house and saw our rig without the back tires. He recommended she go by and see if they belonged to us. Well thats when she left the note. Tonight her and her fiance came by and returned the wheels. We gave them a $200 reward. We are still out the highlift jack but at least we got the wheels back. It's nice to know there are still a few honest people out there!

Well here in the land of lawlessness and crackheads ive had a few things stolen. Ive had small things like hi-lifts and cb radios and hand tools walk away and never come back. Then the big stuff, i "had" a yamaha warrior that some idiot stole, they rolled it a few hundred yards away from the house and when it wouldnt crank they torched it. Last was my 98 dodge 1500 stole right outta my work parking lot, it was found 7 mths later in a body shop/meth lab that was raided by the feds. I had already bought a crew cab f250 so my insurance co kept the truck. Its a shame that here in the mtns of north carolina in a town with 2 red lights i gotta have everything locked down and the alarms turned on. Ive got an alarm on the house, and the shop motion lights and driveway sensors. Hell i even chained my pit bull up to my axles when i did a swap on my jeep. thieves!

Wink

I posted my buddies 2wd Toyota truck got stolen on here a month or so back. The police found it a short time later completely stripped of everthing. It was a total loss and since it did not have full coverage insurance well that made it worse. My buddy had to pay the tow yard towing and storage fees and gave them the pink slip and walked away. They told him if he just left it there then he would be liable for the tow fees and the lien fee which does not seem right but thats how it went down.

1983 toyota 4x4

I recovered my 83 toyota after about a week. It was taken from the park and ride. looks like they popped the back slider. The brand new 33X12.50 BFG M/T's are gone, they took the radiator, smog pump and battery. they pulled out the distributor, which was broken and siphoned out the gas and they took my DMV pass from the back window. Overall the truck was in one piece, took all my tools but they were nice enough to put some old tires on it so I could tow it home.
I had printed out some posters with the info and a picture and some guy called me and said he thinks he saw my truck. He wants a reward. I get him to tell me where it is and then check it out. bingo, the cops ask him some questions, i thanked him and he split. hmmmm, something seems fishy but i got my rig back. There will have to be some theft prevention mods added to it.
I want to thank everyone who kept an eye out or at least shared my misery with me.

Found my son's Toyota Truck

I was shocked to get a call from the Sheriff's Dept to say that our Toyota truck had been found. It was stolen 4 1/2 months ago...and I thought it was gone for good after all this time. I have to go pick it up but the damage seems minimal...its the towing and impound fees that are outrageous.

My toy was found on Franklin and 42nd. Missing stereo, cb, amp, speakers, sub, battery, CD's both music and pc apps, jumper cables, tow rope. Tore dash apart breaking trim piece and dash brace, broke trim piece around shifters. Cops found it while some guy was trying to steal the coil out of it. He CUT the wires instead of unplugging them so I had to splice the coil back in. They kept it for fingerprinting so the PD paid for all fees except for a half day of storage which was after they released the vehicle to when I picked it up. Also had to replace doors locks and ignition. My brakes are glazed and my clutch is slipping as well. The dumbasses barely knew how to drive a stick.

YUp.. Also keep an eye out for someone trying to sell 36x13.50x15 Iroks Bias Ply because they are probably mine. They were in the bed of the truck when it was stolen.

holy horse sh1t

let me check my pants....yup, i am still a dog and now i have 2 peeters. holy shit i got that awesome call from sac pd today saying that they found my junk heap. i haven't seen it yet it is still in the tow yard. pd told me the only thing they took was my stereo, big fawkin deal. i thought i lost the whole god damn thing. thank you all for keeping an eye out for me, as for the people who are still missing their rig, well give up its no use. forget about it and move on. i did this and my shit came back, so it might work for you. to the thieves out there i hope you get fucked in the ass and your balls get crushed by a sledgehammer like paul's ankles in misery.

it was an 85 4-runner black with grey interior. it had tan leather seats up front and 4" lift on 35's. i can't wait to see her tomorrow.

sorry to all the people out there who own a truck like this cause i know i followed you for a while checking to see if i recognized any of the parts.

Where is the "It was recovered in better condition that it left" option?

My 83 yota was stolen, and gone for about 3-4 months. Got a call saying it was back and seemed to run... I was amazed.

Got to it, and the first thing I noticed was the new exhaust. Got inside, new carpet and seats. Drove it home, 3/4 of a tank of gas. Ran AWESOME.

Got it home, looked under the hood. New fuel pump, wires, new air filter.

Just recently noticed: new waterpump and new radiator and battery!! Took my CB, Radio and Tools though, which kinda sucked, but they were HF cheapies and the work that was done to the truck was worth WAY more than the tools and whatnot I still want the pig that stole it to burn in hell though

My only guess is someone stole it, then sold it to some poor idiot under the terms of "I cant find the pink slip" drove it for a while, repaired some stuff, etc, realized it was stolen and dumped it in a field.

my rig is an '81 dodge ram charger it was recovered sunk up to the windows in muck and without the tires the punks that stole it thought it would be funny to take my tires, winch and flag and push it over in to the mud they had it proped up on cinder blocks but they ended up pushin it over in to the mud which was up to the windows after that engine was toast and i was out about 3000 bucks in tires, wheels and the winch and the engine was a good price too but new engine and new tires with lug nut locks and a hidden winch should be ok now

Stolen Recovery

Found My Buddys Stolen 85 Ex-cab In A Liquir Store Parking Lot On Sunday 9/5/04. After Been Swiped From His Drive Way On Thirsday 9/2/04 It Was A Good Feeling Of Relief To Have It Back. The Thievs Manage To Take The Sterio, Hi-lift,power Box,tools, And A Couple Of Other Odds And Ends. However The Thievs Did Do Some Body Work And Gave It A New Primer And Blue Paint Job. I Don't Know If They Did Not Know How To Drive A Stick Becouse The Clutch Was Wasted Out. Perhaps Thats Why We Found It So Soon? Obviously They Did Not Steel It For What It Was Or Maby Did Not Have Time To Take Any More. I Dont Know? Thankyou For Everyones Eyes That Did A Little Look Out. :d

This was a while ago and I didn't post it here but.....I live in N.E. Oregon and in 1999 I was going to school in Glendale,Arizona. Me and a buddy took a spring break trip to LA. When I came back my 81 Datsun pickup was gone. Well here we are 5 years later and I found my truck. The assholes who stole it brought it back up here to Oregon (still had OR plate on it down there) and sold it to some old guy in this area. I followed him to his house one day and told him my story and he let me check the truck out, and sure as shit it was my truck. The old guy had bought it from some Mexican guys that were "Mechanics" in the area. We got our insurance money for it so I figured why cause the old guy any grief and went on my way. Damn border jumpers.

My Brothers 4 Runner Was Found In Contra Cost On 2/1/05. It Is Missing All The Personal Stuff In It ,but For The Most Part It Is In Ok Condision. We Were Able To Drive It Onto The Traler, but It Ran Rough. They Must Have Been Using It For Work Becouse It Was Full Of Dry Wall Tools, And Some Hypodirmic Needels In A C.d. Case. Glad To Have It Back! Anybody Want To Buy An 1986 4 Runner? He Just Bought A New Rig.

back in high school about 90-91` my friend had his vw scirocco (sp?) stolen. a few months later he got it back with: new huge 15" wheels and tires, bumpin stereo system(rockford stuff),full set of recaro seats,2-chrome exhaust tips, and a few other goodies.was even cleaner than when it got stolen and had fresh wax on it.we guess the thief thought he was just gonna keep it as his own ride?when he got the the call we figured it was gonna be trashed.i gave him a ride to pick it up and we both about sh*t when we saw it.he was more than happy to pay the impound fees.kept leaving the keys in my car hoping the same thief would take it.(never happened).
