Stolen Cruiser, No. CA
I was sent this from a friend and I thought I'd post here looking for help. I will try to post up a pic or two later. Thanks, Doug
***STOLEN FJ62 Cruiser*** I wonder if you could help me. Today my 1988 FJ62 was stolen from the Hillsdale train station in San Mateo Ca. It is in mint condition, new paint job (original dark grey) with after market wheels and 16x33 BFG tires, a full-length roof rack and a black bush guard mounted to a stock chrome bumper. The license plate is California 2KDT474. The odometer reads about 96,000 miles. Yes, it is cherry and I am completely bummed out. I know this is a slightly unusual but frankly I don't have many alternatives. If you happen to see it would you please notify me? My name is Mike Yapp, my phone number is 415-633-0150 and my email is michaelyapp@yahoo.com. I can't imagine some thief would pick an old cruiser just to go joy riding. My guess it is someone who knows cruisers and appreciates a classic. But I can't believe a person that appreciates an old cruiser is the type of person who would steal one. At any rate, please be on the look out for my cruiser, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, mike yapp 415-633-0150

Thanks Jim, I just got some pics from Mike also. As mike stated in his email, it was more than just my truck.
Thanks BEAR. Everyone around keep your eyes open.

So, I spotted a cruiser identical to this today being worked on in a driveway one block away from my house. Less brush guard and different plate, I couldn't see the rims. I'm waiting to hear back from the police. What are the odds?
