2.5 coilovers
Profender Suspension, known for their off road tested shock absorber line, have released their newest shock. Their 2.5” diameter remote reservoir coilover shock is now available at www.profendersuspension.com
These new coilovers are specially designed to be used where a weight-bearing shock is needed. The design is perfectly at home on not only a competition vehicle, but also weekend warrior trail riders, as well as even street driven vehicles, basically anywhere that a demand exists for an efficiently packaged suspension with top notch performance. They are also fully tunable by adjusting shim packs, nitrogen pressure, and spring rates. Profender Suspension does offer various spring rates and sizes, so you can choose the best option for your vehicle before you buy. What makes these coilovers unique from the others currently offered on the market is that Profender Suspension uses a specially designed piston that provides ultimate performance. The polished shafts on the coilovers are chromed and induced, which adds more strength to endure all of the various extreme road conditions and heavy duty use you put your vehicle through. The coilovers are made of the highest quality materials that allow them to provide excellent performance, yet are extremely competitively priced. They are 100% QC tested, and the all aluminum construction components are machined to excellent tolerances. In addition, the Plain Bearing Ball Joint is self-lubricating, and suited for both heavy-duty and competition use. The mounting width is 1.75” and the bolt diameter is 5/8”. What makes these coilovers even more unique is Profender Suspension’s use of new ViperCoil springs. They are available in various spring rates, and also in color choices of red or black. The 2.5 coilovers are priced at $429. The ViperCoil springs will cost between $70 to $100. Profender Suspension was established in 1976 in Thailand. For more than three decades, they have developed a full range of off-road shocks and suspension components. Recently they have ventured into the North American market with good success and are being proven more so each day in both the competition and recreational off road scene. I ordered a set of 4 of these with 16" travel today. I can't wait to get them. The package included the springs and free shipping, so it was great deal on paper. I hope these are as good as they look. Thanks Ryan!

I got the shocks today. My UPS driver wasn't happy, but she always complains about the heavy loads.
![]() I had a chance to look one over and yes, I'm impressed. The quality appears to be there. I'll throw up some pics once I get them mounted. Still haven't heard anything on the springs yet, but it's still early and you did say it could take a few days before they are shipped.

I took a gamble on another brand......and lost.
I've experienced a catastrophic failure of a remote reservoir on the brand I have now, though the remainder of the shock remains intact. I'm wondering about the possibility of retrofitting one of your reservoir assemblies to my existing shock (16" travel shock with a 7/8" shaft). I have the capacity to build my own reservoir hose, so that is no concern whatsoever. Can you share some dimensions on your largest reservoir assembly? Body O.D.? Bore I.D.? Length? Port size / style at the hose end? (NPT, or metric straight thread o-ring boss, or BSPP, or ???) Photographs of the internals of the reservoir? My immediate need is for two reservoir assemblies, but if everything looks favorable, I'd be in the market for four. Pricing and availability to 70301? THANKS! |
