Here's an interesting idea, Spring Perches that actually Fit! From Ruffstuff!
Spring perches, pretty basic, but made in 3 widths (2", 2 1/2", & 2 3/4") & 4 axle diameters for a perfect fit and not a "good enough" fit. With 3 pin placement options and long enough to help in controlling axle wrap. I'm only going to show you 1 perch here, we make 8 different perches and are adding 2 more next week. Why so many? Because the perch should be made to fit the axle and the ubolt plate, you shouldn't be made to make it fit!
  They are mostly 1/4" thick but we do have 2 Heavy Duty models 3/8" thick! And yes, we have the U-Bolt plates to match...... Strength, Quality, & Value! Words to live by.....

Maybe an idea whose time has come?
Why wasn't this done before? Now don't let anyone tell you 1 size fits all anymore, 1 size still only fits 1 size.....

Its nice to see something really simple.....
All I can think is most companies did not want to carry the additional inventory required to have more than 1 size fits all, and the Jeep CJ and Scout guys were just SOL...not anymore.....!
