Spring Perches from Ruffstuff, Perches that fit! - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

Spring perches, pretty basic, but made in 4 widths (2", 2 1/2", 2 3/4", 3") & 7 axle diameters for a perfect fit and not a "good enough" fit. With 3 pin placement options and long enough to help in controlling axle wrap. I'm only going to show you 1 perch here, we make 11 different perches and are regularily adding more. Why so many? Because the perch should be made to fit the axle and the ubolt plate, you shouldn't be made to make it fit!

When you ask about perches ask about the radius of the cutout! BTW, We don't only make the perches, we make the Ubolt plates & Spring Hangers to match all of our Perches.......

They are mostly 1/4" thick but we do have 2 Heavy Duty models 3/8" thick! And yes, we have the U-Bolt plates to match......These stand 7/8" off the axle and we have been making many sizes for over 2 years, we did not just hop on the bandwagon. Compare sizes to what others are offering, we make the tube cutout for axle diameters that actually exist! And yes the holes are different on different models, not every manufacturer used the same spring pin!

There is no reason to make things harder on yourself, and for $29 a ppaiir you don't have to, compare......From 1 7/8" springs to 3" springs, from 2 1/2" axle tubes to 3 1/2" tubes.......And more coming!

Wish you had those about 9 months ago. I had to do a little grinding on your 3 3/8" perches to fit my fat tubed 14 bolt.

Plenty strong and CHEAP though.

I think grinding a Spring Perch is about the biggest PITA involved in a SOA or SAS, lose the PITA with our selection of perches, make that part the easy part!

If you start right its pretty easy to end right.....Spring Pads are not 1 size fits all.....

Its nice to see some other companies now making multiple sizes rather than telling customers to just grind it out, its also nice to see we are doing something right if others copy our ideas!

BTW, ours have always been 7/8" tall.....

A word here about stock levels and the internet.

The Internet is an amazing creature, you can be moving along at a nice pace until you hit a critical mass point & Boom! In January we had one of those moments, nice gradual growth and on the 23rd it hit us, overnite we jumped 28% in sales! Overnite, and it has held true at the higher levels while going back to a nice gradual growth curve.

I have seen this before but it has always been in the 15% range, every few months and all at once ~15% bump in growth. You can imagine what that can do to inventory management and we are not like many 4x4 companies that only make things after they are ordered, I like to have everything in stock. In mid February it caught up with us and we were fighting to keep up stock levels and train new people to be able to keep up shipping at the much higher level.

Thanks to Tracy for setting up and maintaining the night shift for shipping/prep and Garett and Jason for working all the extra hours during the day to keep us afloat......Personally I don't think my voice will ever be the same, 6700 minutes on the phone in February!

Anyway, after the long speech.....We have increased all inventory levels 200% and have brought on 2 new cutters, We will never be caught llike that again! My goal is always 100% in stock, I know that it is nearly impossible but we will try....

And thanks to all of you locals for standing by us here in the war zone, it has been a challenge to buy anything directly by walking in the door with all the bedlam going on but we do appreciate your efforts to get to us.

Meanwhile, I have been working til midnite and every weekend on new designs so keep checking back for some more new ideas!

Some guy posts asking 10 different venders for a price, man, your times got to be worth more than that! Heres the simple answer, they are all about the same price so throw a dart at your terminal and you will find a good price on heims.....Interesting to watch, I hope he was using cut & paste!

How about the right size, and not some weld together jigsaw perch that you still have to grind......Your time and trouble is worth more than that.

I've been designing large castings and Powertrain components for Off-Highway equipment for over a year now. These parts have to be robust, capable of withstanding much more abuse than their "intended" use.

They may not be 2500lb castings, but these components from RuffStuff are designed to withstand FAR more stress than they will likely ever see on my rig.
