Thumbs up 63" Chevy Frenched Spring Hangers!

These are an evolution of our chassis link brackets but we have taken the ramp to an extreme by boxing it and recessing it into the frame. I know it has been done before but what I have found has always been too small for my taste, I wanted to spread the stress of the frame surgery over a greater area and these are what happened. Both of these make for an absolutely smooth transition from the rock to the rig, no walls in the way!

A great way to gain all the benefits of 63" Chevy springs with less drag to go with the additional flex they can provide. That has always been the main drawback to using them, mounting the spring hanger forwards on the frame and making it a bigger target than what you started with. Think about adding a pair of Bushed DOM sleeves to french in the shackle hangers to lower the rear also, that can help lower any rig while gaining flex. These require welding to finish and mount, the frame requires cutting to recess the bracket into the frame. These have a 3" ID to fit the larger bushings that come on the Chevy's. The folds on the ends are your pattern for where to cut your frame. These allow for an extremely low profile spring by spreading the ramp over 5", the bracket is 8" long.

Both of these are very popular......

We have been making the chassis link brackets for 2 1/2 years and they are among the most popular items on the site. They are 7 3/4" long so you don't hit the rock abruptly but just ramp up gently to avoid hanging up. Keep that in mind while planning your suspension......

I will see about some pics tommorrow......

We have been selling the chassis link brackets for almost 3 years so I should. We have been making the frenched hangers for around 5 months so we likely have some of those too......

They are both 8" long to spread the load and the chassis brackets are as flat as possible on the ends to minimize initial impact with anything that gets in your way. The Frenched brackets should be placed into the frame to the point where the ramp begins to also minimize impact.

The Chassis Link brackets are $37 a pair & the Frenched Spring Hangers are $42 a pair......Both are 1/4" plate with 9/16" holes.......

Got another question on these from another site.....

He wanted to know if they have to be inset into the frame.....?

Of course not! You can use them surface mounted too but the way we make them makes it very easy to inset them so why not take advantage of it?

We finally put together the kit for the complete swap!

Heres the pic of what you need to do it the right way.....

We replace the Shackle hangers in the kit also so you can easily move them back so you don't nees a new driveshaft also......The hangers are the correct width for the springs too!

Do you have a pic of the entire system installed. Just trying to get a visual of them recessed in the frame and the location of the rear shackles.
Thanks, Sean

These kits are getting popular!

I think its because of the smooth transition from frame to spring.....And because they end up much stronger than any other way to do it....
