Four months later and I'm no longer happy. It doesn't get me anywhere, and I'm piss broke because of it. Ended up leaving on the same trailer that got it here.

I saw this sitting in Tim's driveway today. It'd be cool to check out and see what the deal is with the case. Let me know if you have a work day on it, I could use some zuk education.

Some of the best dollars that Ive ever spent were hacking shit off that I made and hated.
If we never changed things because we had $ in them nothing would ever improve. I had $350 or $400 in my front axle and I had to get rid of it because it wasnt enough. Stop worrying about it and let the folks who have voulunteered to help you help you. There has to be a spare transmission for a samurai floating around in NH. I know that Frosty had the one I brought down for some time. Your rig is on what 31s and the body is rotten? So its not worth saving. Skip the exo, and put a roll bar in it. Dont give up. Nothing is as cheap as a samurai.

Cage actually looks a LOT worse on a computer screen. In person, it looks like it was built by a remedial classroom. On a screen it looks like Helen Keller put it together.

Fuck it, just say the cage was perfect until you had a really nasty roll
![]() I'd rather wheel a butt ugly Stevie Wonder designed cage than not wheel at all.. Hope you find the spirit again, shit like this shouldn't be allowed to get you down.

supa came over to Tim's today to take a look. We tried another case and it made the some noise only louder. But the other case had no oil in it. Going to try to replace the u-joints in the intermediate shaft. See if that fixes anything. They said to run it with the noise. Iunno, if I do I won't be able to trust any further away than I can roll it home. I have great friends that are willing to tow me home, but I don't want to have to depend on them to be able to go for a cruise. I'd feel a million times better knowing what the noise is and fixing it.
Oh, I also discovered I'm a spitter. Zuk blew a load of 80/90 in my mouth. I've gained so much more respect for my girlfriend now.

Oh, Jay our NAPA doesn't have the u-joints in stock. If you find someone else that has them, I'll pay you back. I'm at work before they open and I can't call while on the clock.

we think if the noise may be travelling through them too. I have the stock mounts as well which we can try.

Yea, but if I'm driving around with it clanking like that, I'm not going to be comfortable in it. I'd rather get this thing solved. Last week's weather was a fluke. We have awhile before we get steady 60º temperatures get here for wheeling.

same noise 2 t-cases weather louder or not ... its the shaft or the trany ... i think lots has to do with the fact you have mis aligned the shaft and added the solid joints . i'd love to hear from others that they hear more noise going to solid tcase mounts .. especially with your wanderer moter mounts
