Off Road BBS said this is the place

So I heard that this is the place to find out what kinda floor mats y'all are running and how to fit 31's under a zuk. My parents are going out of town, maybe I will have a kick-butt party with punch and O'douls Non-alcoholic beer. Chips and mild salsa too.

I tend to find that the Tweety Bird floor mats help with traction in Tellico. Of course you have to wear a Tazmanian Devil t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pack of cigarettes in one of them. Yep, all that plus some pinch rolled, white washed jeans and some reebok high tops... Screw zuks, I'm gonna build a 1981 T-top trans-am and go pick up some chicks.

Stupid newbies....Hmmmmmmm..........

I'm guessing that most who embrace this attitude were born with the knowledge they now possess........

Yep, there are many recycle questions, some being very basic. Sometimes, not very often, someone does come up with an improved way to rectify a common problem that previously had a stock answer. Personally, I don't mind them at all. It was 12 years ago that I had many of those same questions. It took me a while, but I did get them answered, mostly on the BBS.
I'm certainly no expert, but if I can answer or help a zooker out, I'll give it my best shot. It, if not for anything else, creates a circle or cycle of information..........
Consider what shape the world would be in if we never taught our kids anything from the time they were born......

No offence taken Here, but read between the lines of the very 1st post it was done to get a reaction. And what has been put to it, has not been an all out hazing. As for your comments Crow thats your 02 and I for one respect you and your thoughts but in all seriousnes take it for what its worth.
It is a bull(*$#t post. If someone does a search and trys, and still ask's the ? I for one will answer it. But it was bound to happpen that someone would post something like that, I just made people aware that there might be other's coming just to get a rise. I stand by my orignial post both boards are not for every one. I like the comradery of both they each have a unique view. think of it as high school vs. college its alearning curve some want some dont. I sure as Hell hope an eye brow get's raised if my six year old son walks in to the local college and asks for emmitions papers.
Not that one board is better they are on 2 different plains.

I'd have to agree with Rock The too are on different plains. I for one would like to expand my Knowledge of our hobby. I still go to ORC and lurk just incase I have missed something, but rarely post anymore, unless I feel like I should on a particular subject. POR is the next level for me, if it's not? At least it's entertaining.

But then again I'm in the NAVY and easily entertained

No one is born with knowledge of everything. But one of the problems today is everyone wants things done for them and information delivered to them. What happened to reasearching first, then asking questions when all avenues of reasearch have been looked at? Give a guy a fish and he'll be back tommorow for another one, teach him to fish and he'll start working on a better way to catch fish. That in a nutshell is the difference I see between this board and others.

I'll admit there are some dumb posts, but this is a free world, skip what you don't want to read. I used to read all the other boards religiously, but as time demands grew I found I could no longer wade thru all the chit-chat and posts on store bought parts, not to mention my wheeling quickly exceeded the limits of store bought gear. This was the one place that catered to the next level. Anyway, there are a few guys over on ORC that seem to be basing their opinions on one or two posts over here, kinda narrow minded I would say, especially if the post was a made up one just to see what would happen

Gee, with a high power post like this I would say one of the following:

He's been lurking a while, and know not to ask how to change his door locks.
or
He's been here and banned before, now he's on a buddies PC
or
He's here to stir something up by advice of a moron-buddy.

Mullet
What are you driving?
What mods?

If your here to stir something up, stay out of the Zuk section, we don't get that excited about attacking Newbies. Go to Chit chat

If you got advice - give it
If you want advice - search and then ask specific questions.
Example: BAD - what type of tire/power steering/brake pads should I run.
GOOD - How from the end of the frame did you mount your power steering box and at what angle from the top of the frame?

BTW Welcome newbie

There's a reason I don't reply to posts that can easily solved by search - I believe in what ChrisV said.

My post count is quality, not quantity.

By searching, reading, and trying to post intelligent questions (ok, not all of them was that..) I learned way more than some wannabe that just posts questions without searching, reading, learning about what they want.

Now, I'm finally past the Web Wheeling stage, into First Dirt mode.. About damn time too!
