What clutch to run on a 16v swap?

Any input on clutches people have used and like and dont like? Im putting a 16v in my sammy stock samurai tranny rebuilt, rebuilt engine. Is a oe replacment samurai clutch enough to hold that power? Or Stage 2, ceramic, ebay clutches, etc?

thanks ken

Do a little research...when I swapped in my 1.6L there were two options for clutches...

Seems like 2-door VS 4-door??

Anyhow, one is bigger in diameter...7 7/8" versus 8 1/2"

Use the big one.

I'm feeling generous tonight...I might search for a part# for you.

Ya a centerforce would be my first choice but 300 bucks is a little more than I have to spend now, and I'm not running the sidekick tranny so I'm stuck with the samurai flywheel and clutch options, I will probably go with a stage 2 off fleebay, see how it is. I just wondered about ceramic clutches because there's a butt load on eBay, and it seems ceramic would grip better, but then again that could be a bad thing

I just put in TT Vulcan clutch. It has a couple snow wheeling trips on it with good results. Headed to Moab next month for a real test.

I hope petroworks clutch is better than all of their other crap they sell

I love their engine mounts that look like a kid welded them up, cause drivetrain vibrations and their t case gears we have removed from three samurai's that would lock up when unless you leave out the center detent ball.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Sometimes a ceramic clutch can act like an "on-off" switch when they engage...

Find a cheap, stock Sachs on the "net" and run that...
