Hey guys just looking for some input i just finished (for now) putting a sky yj swap with. m/l up front and standard rear shackle witj stock yjs . I plan on wheeling about two weekends a month. With daily driving. In between its not my primary. Vehicle but i enjoy driving it. Any shock recommendations. Such as brand.also looking for the smallest shock body without. Sacrifice of performance I got a budget of about 500$ thanks in advance.

Doestechs are cheap... the 8000's come in the Trail Tough Kits.... They are a little stiff on rail road tracks and what not in straight lines but soft enough to have some body roll.

Id go with the adjustable Rancho 9000's... Stiffen up while Daily Driving... soften em up when you go off road?

I made my YJ swap kit and have ML's up front and standard shackle rear running Doestech 8000's on all 4 corners... not bad but a little stiff like I said on straight line bumps... wouldnt want them any softer though when turning because I get some body roll... nothing too bad really but just wouldnt want anymore. They only have about 2k miles on them also so might break in and soften even more

ADS Smooth bodies. They are cheap for an amazing race quality shock that is tunable and rebuildable. Their customer service is best in the industry!. They are always at a bunch of the races tuning shocks and showcasing their shit.

With a budget of $500 i'd run 2 of these up front and then 2 cheap bilsteins in the back.

I had the deutche tech shocks on mine with the trail tough wrangler kit and it was perfect, although i beat the hell out of the stops that come on them and would recomend additional bump stoppage. I have a buddy who runs the rancho adjustables cuz he has a heavier rig and he likes them with the in cab controller. I have billstiens on the wifes 98 wrangler at 4500 lbs and they are really stiff on it but it is a short arm kit to.my buddy has one with the same shocks I have along with a long arm kit and it rides cushy but he has a few hundred pounds more then I do. We had 2 different rigs come into the shop that had the procomp remote reservoirs on it and we had to send them all back for warranty cuz they were leaking oil out the ends.haven't seen any more like that though so I don't know if it was a fluke or there was some problems with manufacturing. they didn't get warranted either cuz of the time frame.my O2

The MX6's are just like the RS9000's and with as many Zuk's as I have built I would tell you that the Doeschtech 8000 series of shocks are the BEST shock on a lightweight rig for the money...period. You may spend twice as much on an adjustable shock, but you do not get twice the performance~!
