What are the differences between a Sidekick and a Vitara. Looking to buy a Tow vehicle for my father and found a Great deal on a Vitara, do they weigh alot more, can you flat tow one???

What kind of vitara 2 or 4 doors

The vitara has more power than a sidekick and since they are newer it would probalt have less miles

It's a 99 2 door convertible.

The same sidekicks sold in latin american countries were called vitaras long before suzuki usa figured out sidekick is jail term for bitch and started calling them vitaras in the us.

Tow vehicle for what?

Anything more than about a 1500 - 2000 lb trailer and I'd seriously look at something more up to the task.

Even the XL-7s suck for trailering a large load. Buddy had a 3000 lb bass boat/trailer. He ended up trading the XL-7 after 3-4 weeks for something more up to it.

Oops, sorry, forget that - just re-read. Thought you meant flat towing something else using the Sidekick/Vitara.
