so who is running a aftermarket cam on there 1.3 EFI motors??? were they intended for the carburated engines only???

I'd like to here about that also, although a 1.3 is still only a 1.3.

I would have thought someone with an aftermarket cam in a EFI Zuk would have replied to this by now......we have well over 100 of them out there in both the 1.3's and 1.6's (8 valve) running great. The low end cam is the "ONLY" cam that we have been able to get to work without trouble though.....

I don't understand why we call it a low end cam, when it works great way past red line too!....must have something to do with the way our heads are done....not to say they won't work in a stock head as well......

nozuk's Dad has a 1.6 eight valve with one of these cams and can do over 95 mph.

nope....now i know you guys run them without any probs....by the way what are you doing to your heads???? shaveing,valve grinding......etc..

yup all that and then some....you will see soon enough....one of our group is moving over/down there with his Zuk....soon as he spends a year in Korea....anyway, he has the Zuk we took to Moab...it runs very well.

I've always thought that since the 1.3EFI system uses a MAP sensor that monitors vacuum that a bigger cam could screw things up since a larger cam creates less vacuum. The 1600 16v on the other hand uses a MAF sensor that monitors air flow so a larger cam in this situation would work.
