Tube for Radius arms?
What size tube do you guys recomend for radius arms (4dr Vitara), I'd prefer to err on the beefy side, 40" end to end. Also what year/model radius arm ends to use? Last question, why don't people run radius arms front and rear, everybody has 3 link or 4 link rears when another radius arm setup would be easier?
Mike.

1.5 x 1/4 wall DOM for suspension radius arm, Or for a 3 or 4 link setup 1-3/8 x 3/16 wall minimum.
Radius arm setups weaken the axle tube by twisting as you articulate. 3 and 4 link setups do not. |

The tube size indicated by Rokcwlr would be adequate.....
Due to the inherent characterisiticas of the radius arm concept, flex is determined by the deformation of the bushings in the system. This can be overcome by wristing one of the arms. Do a search on this subject and you´ll learn a lot....... As far as radius arms in the rear go. that´s what I have on my rig. No complaints at all........
