Axle Dimensions

I'm looking for the diameter and spline count of stock Suzuki axles.

Specifically do any of them measure 28mm x 25 splines? If so, what is the vehicle and diff (Front or Rear)?

???

Spline count is 22 front and 26 rear at the diffs but front is different at berfield and lockout. Don't know milimeters but could measure O.D. in inches. At splines or smallest part. Saw you post last night but saw you haven't got an answer yet. Be more specific, please.

What I'm trying to do is find a Lock-Right I can modify for another application. My application has a 28mm (1.102") axle with 25 splines and about a 7" ring gear. I figure if I can get a lockright that is pretty close in size, I might be able to have it machined to fit my application.

If the Suzuki front axle is smaller in diameter, perhaps I could have it machined out to fit, and have it modified to fit inside my diff carrier.

Why not just tell us what axle it is going in...? Not all of us just drive Suzuki's. Maybe someone knows the exact answer to your question.

The diameter of the front 22 spline shaft is 23.7mm (.93") and
the rear 26 spline shaft is 27.0mm (1.06").You'll have to go to a
gear shop to get internal splines cut.

This is for a '99 Dodge Neon Drag car. Weighs 1800lbs w/ driver. New engine should be putting about 215hp to the ground... If I can get it to hook up off the line, it should run a high 11 sec 1/4 mile... And so in an effort to help it hook up, I need to add some sort of traction control...

Except the only decent LSD cost over $1300... and I'm running short on cash... So I started looking at Lock-Rights, figuring I could find one close enough to modify. I just figured the 'zuki's would be the closest...

Sounds like I need to take a hard look at the 'zuki Rear, I wonder if I can special order one unsplined...

I didn't get into the specifics... 'cause a Neon Drag car is way off-topic in this forum...

I think a spool would better fit your application but why not Just have the thing welded.

Thought about that but NHRA rules prohibit welded diffs.

No one makes a Spool for it, so I'd have to have one made. AND, since it's FWD, that makes it very hard to turn onto the exit lane at the end of the track... Whereas with a Lockright, it'll unlock...

BTW, thanks everyone that's replied for your help on this...
