great junk yard story

went to the you pullit yard on sunday and froze as I walked threw the vast amounts of vehicles and just as we are about to leave we spy to zuks with evrything there so we pulled both tcases (thats all we needed) and headed over to the office to pay for these and they had a new guy working there . so he says to my friend what are those my buddy jokingly says rear steering knukle assembly so the guy looks all over the price sheet and finds no such thing then he says that must be a shift linkage assembly well needless to say I damn near lost it when he said 30.00 for both 15 bucks apiece cant beat that one just thought I would share that great experience with all

Last year I spent an hour in the freezing rain, up to my shins in mud, hack sawing off a steering u-joint from a ratty old 1982-ish Corolla.

I get up to the front and the guy says $25.00 with a straight face.

I lobbed it into a nearby 55 gal drum full of dirty old rainwater and left.
