shift problems in my track

Ok I have a 95 tracker with the 16V. When I got it the 1-2 shift fork was busted so like a dumb ass I paid the 50 bucks for a new fork and took the time to pull it apart and replace it. When I tried shifting the tranny before putting it back in everything worked fine and smooth, after we got it back in and hooked up it did nothing the shifter swam around like a fish in the sea. I took the shifter back off and noticed the bushing was out of place fixed that and now it wont shift into any gear any how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am considering in the future of going to a toy tranny and tcase and dont know where to get the track motor to toy tranny adapter.
