Serious Carb Problem

Please Help!! Here is the situation. My Sami will idle fine and sound good and the other day i started it up cold, it was idling a little high so i got out of the sami to get a screw driver then all the sudden it reved up all by its self like someone mashed the gas pedal to the floor peging out the rpm gauge. I had to run over and turn the key off before it blew my engine. I know this cannot be good for the engine or cannot be safe on the trail. I am leaving for a trail run this week and would like a fix. Any sugestions would be great.

Thanks, Joe
