I finally got a Zuk!
Well I have been planning a zuk build up for a long time. I even have one %50 complete, but I came across a sweet deal. I traded my dirtbike for it, straight up. I know the orginal owner/builder. I have wheeled with him for a few years. Very miticulous. I would never have gotten an already built rig, but since I know the guy and his work I jumped on it.
The rig will be mainly for my woman, but also a spare rig for me when the heep is down. Specs: 1995 Samurai 1.6L 8v, header, cold air Toyota steering box and pump Electric fan Stock tranny GRSII 4.89? tcase 1/2 ton(1310) drive shafts. D44's f/r, 5.38's, spool rear, lock rite front Cross over steering with flat tops, 1.5" tie rod & drage link with Heims. rear springs up front, with CJ springs out back, revolvers in the rear and missing links up front 33x12.5 boggers, sliders, bumpers, pertoworks cage Thats all I can think of right now. Its like a "Mini me" to my jeep. |

Thanks guys. I definitely got a good deal.
I am good friends with the seller and he his into bikes now, harley's etc... He wasnt getting any use out of the zuki, plus his wife has 15 horses. So between bikes and feeding horses he had no time to wheel. I traded him a 03' YZ250f. I got two boxes of spare parts, steering box axle shafts, rod ends, etc.... He was the second owner. The original owner bought it new. I wheeled with him in various stages of mods. He sold it because he built a Willy's. I just wheeled with him all day yesterday, he got denied on a few obstacleswith the flatty(35 boggers, D44, SBC 400) every time I looked at him and said "You know the Samurai would have made it" He just flipped me the bird ![]() I wish I still had my stock YJ springs so I can ditch the revolvers. I will be doing small changes here and there to fine tune it. I know will end up wheeling it more than the jeep. we are taking it out this evening to some local trails. I am getting ready to 4 link the heep so the waggy springs may go on the zuk, minus a couple of leaves. Anyone run the 7 leaf waggy's on the rear of a suzuki? Maybe pull out two leaves??? |

nothing really...... they just didnt do it for me after axle wraping a couple of springs (I know I needed a traction bar) I linked my shit and never looked back......plus IMO YJ springs in the rear with the stock shackle set-up has just about the same amount of travel then the revolvers and a better ride quality..... just my opinion revolver lovers

lol, the revolvers actually werent too bad tonight. The fawking missing links on the front are going away fast. They unload on steep climbs. It already has a nice beef anti wrap bar on the rear. I didnt even notice the revolvers until a steep decent and they unloaded.

Yeah, but you are still ghey
![]() That is a very solid rig, we have both wheeled with it many times with the previous owner. He was known for pounding on it and cake walking obstacles that were killing other rigs.

Carey is totally converted now. She is ready to wheel. I think she is going to buy a V8 grand cherokee to tow it to the trail. A little cage work and some harnesses and she will be good to go.
I have to replace the yota power steering pump. Its smoked. Actually I think we will put some ghetto flares on it and get it inspected. I love it so far
