X-304

I got a car. I don't know whats going to happen, I might try to fix it. I've never done that so it could be fun. I took it home with a seized engine. It was ran until seized due to no oil is what I was told.

I was helped by someone. He almost wanted to find out what was in there more than I.

I got it to turn over after charging the battery. It sounded like one cylinder wanted to fire, but none of the others.

Just slowing down the internet...

Initial compression test showed 0psi on 1, 60 on 2, 60 on 3, and 20 on 4. We filled the cylinders with atf and let it sit for a while. After cleaning all the atf out of the cylinders 2 3 and 4 were at 160-180 psi and 1 was still at 0. In fact there was like a cup of atf in there and none of it tried to come back out. Sounds like a rod cap came off.

The dark red stuff is atf and the orange stuff is what looks like rust. Its real strange. What could the brown stuff be? It never spun fast enough to splash on there, thats oily residue from when it ran a while ago...

Hopefully it will be an easy rebuild.

Whats the cheapest/best quality engine rebuild kit?

it is not rust it's oil sluge or residue not a big deal, look down the spark plug hole and see if the piston even moves while u turn the motor over sounds like the rod might be broken an funny sounds when cranking it over?
