Spring Eye Bushings

I just got my yj springs and i am having a problem with the bushings. Most of the bushings are rotten, and a few of them still have the bolt rusted inside of the metal sleeve.
I am gona buy a new spring eye kit, but what is the best way to go about getting the old ones out? I was thinking of burning them, but i would need a torch. Also, i have heard that rubber burns at such a high temp that you need to keep putting the flame out so it doesnt warp the metal.

Any help or solution would be greatly apprechiated!

Burn out the center and then sawzall the outer metal cup from the inside and then press them out. With a BF hammer or with a press. Let it burn baby.

If i had one....
I have been to a guy who owns his own little spring shop. He has done some work for me, and i have sent a few friends to him for ubolts, springplates and other various parts.

I might be able to go over there and do it with him as long as i slip him a 10 or somthing.. Maybe i can learn something for next time and share it here.

I used a drill bit, maybe 5/16", and drilled through the rubber. I put enough holes in it that I could then drive it and the center bushing out. I wish I had a sawzall to cut the outside metal cup out but I didn't. I took my hack saw blad off and then reassembled it with the blade going through the spring eye. I cut a groove in the outside cup then bet it out with a BFH and chisel. Needless to say I was hating the idiot that designed those buishgs, but the ride makes it all worth while!
