i bet you have to cut more off the rear to clear the tires. no? looks like with tires it's still gonna rub. might have to cut it out staight out the back. i don't know but it just looks like it to me.

yeah i helped a buddy take his sami to a 97 1/4" wheel base and we were going to have to cut into the tail gate but he decided to just make it a flatbed so we cut the rear of the body off and just left the cab and the floor to the rear.

one more question. i'm just curious why you didn't move the springs under the frame? i seems to me that it would have been easier being you refabbed all your hangers. it also allows for more flex (not that you'll need it with those drop bars). just curious. you'll really like the added wheelbase. i two buddys running 97" wb and d44's with their sami's and they both love it.

you hit the nail on the head with that... it will have more than enough flex. the drop bars are getting limiting straps so i can make them go from none to 9". to inboard the rears i would have had to redo my spring pads on the axle... and i just didn't feel like doing that again(just redid the front). i'm cutting the roof off when i do a cage... at that point i'll probably go flat bed. who knows...

are yo going to remove the rear door, or will it work still with the new custom bodywork?? do you have pics of the rear? i will be doing similar body work to my hard top and would like to keep the rear door useable. Thanks.

until i do cage and can really start getting rid of the body i'm keeping the rear door. i just cut the hell out of it. as a matter of fact i have nothing holding the body to the frame from the seats back right now. i'll take a pic of it tomorrow. might even have the 38's on it by then.

here you go... i basically just cut the body even with the fram rails and cut out the whole fender. once the new wheel wells are in it will have enough support back there.
