brake lines are identical, front spring perches line up, rears have to be moved in a little. try for an 84' or 85' front end they have the truss on both sides and the 3rd's are stonger... probably not a big deal though... i went with an 82'. the rear i've heard it works fine with the centerd diff as long as you dont get too crazy with the angles. you'll need crossover steering and i'd modify your pitman to work with the toy rod ends. then just take care of getting your d.shafts to bolt to the pinion flange and your done. it's really a simple swap.

Brake lines on the front will work for all year Samurai's, but the Toy rear is only set up for one line (Samurai = 2 lines pre-88.5). No biggie to correct, tho.

You can't just swap in a Toyota t-case cause it isn't divorced like a Samurai's is. So you would have to to swap in a whoel toyota motor, tranny and t-case. That would make your rear driveline about 8" long I bet, and your rig useless. If you had a LWB or wanted to extend the fram . . it would be kewl. Don't waste your time. Just swap in the axles, who cares about the centering of the diff, and fricken go!

A guy up here from ARB has made a adapter to get the toy tcase to mount to the sami trannie, quite trick, but sweet, and you get no hassles of the center diff,. or someone on this board has made a deal to adapt the toy trannie/tcase to the stock zuk engine?.. either one sounds good to me. I don't need so much horse power, just need to get the crawl on, and still have hi-way speeds not whine me out or anyting.

Then stick with the stock sammy drivetrain. Then just run a t-case and axle gears for reduction. I wheeled a samurai for awhile and it worked great for me. If you need a LOT of reduction, go to a KluneV. Or backpack two Sammy t-cases, invert the second one, and then you should have the output going to the center of the diff!
Pretty simple stuff.
