yes you can as saab sonnets and other cars came with 2 strokes. Wierd eh?

Unbelievable how clean this truck is. It'd be a shame to do it........but If it were mine I probably couldn't resist the urge to take a sawzall to it and start modifying it for better trail performance.

I know that Sonnets came with a V4, maybe that was later? Not sure if the earlier ones came with the 2-stroke. Are you sure? I had two 96's with the 2-stroke. Mine was 850 cc triple-carb model with oil-injection. Kinda liked em. Nice power, great economy. Funny sound!
