Post Back from SoR - now with pics

Well I just got back a little earlier today from Suzuki on the Rocks. The run was great and the zuk worked really well. For those who were there I'm the one with the yellow one running spring under (the one that the bear tried to eat at Bassi). I made it through with no mechanical breaks, but did take out most of my passenger rocker panel.

- edit -

I have the pictures from the Rubicon this past weekend on my website. The direct link to the pictures is http://members.home.net/mmartinez/index.htm

If anyone is interested in the full-sized picture, send me an email to marvinmartian@home.com with the filename(s) and I will email the full-sized image (1600x1200).

Mark

H#ll no I didn't run the sluice. I'm running 31's with open diffs. There is no way I would even make it into the the beginning.

There was a few guys who went through. One of the guys from Trail Tough went through MANY times. I think his best run was a night run also. He also ran the crack line (at least that's what someone else called it - I've never been there before).

I'm not sure what the soup bowl is so I would say no.

This was my first trip on the Rubicon so overall I didn't do too bad. No breaks, but I did dent a rocker panel (taking a hard route up the slabs).

You'ed know if you ran the soup bowl, I got smacked the Fawk up trying to get. It looks like a set of steps, the first one is about 3 foot and it'll work ya. Atleast in a Suzuki...

I wouldn't say he's jealous, as for stacking rocks I see em right in the pic! You may have not stacked but they are still there.

I can't wait, any chance you'll be ready in time for the Hammers? There are a few there I'm sure you could walk also.

Dave,
I couldn't make it this year due to conflicting plans. I'm glad you got my spot. It's primo isn't it!?!? Don't count on getting it next year!

Shane,
I have about a 60% success ratio on the soupbowl, but I only give it one shot on the way in most times. I wouldn't call it an easy obstacle in a sami, but what do I know...
